I am super excited about this month because last month I actually read a lot! I’ve been in a great reading mood lately. I just hit this stride and I’m trying to really keep it going while I’m still in this mood. That being said, I’m expecting to get most of this list done this month (last month I read 7 books!)

My main goal this year is to finish more series that I’ve started and/or catch up. So it’s perfect that Buddy Reads is reading Cress because it’s the next book in the Lunar Chronicles that I need to read. I tend to breeze through these fairly easily so I also went ahead and added Winter to my TBR as well.

And, Addicted to YA also happens to be reading the next book in a series I need to continue, so I added Two Dark Reigns to my list! They’re also reading Four Dead Queens, which I’m looking forward to reading and already own so I’m adding it too.

Then, this month’s theme for Devour Your TBR is Contemporary, so I added two books for that TBR. One is Fallout, the last book in the Crank series that I have to read, the other is the City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong–which I’m really excited for! The first Kelley Armstrong book I read, Aftermath, totally blew me away and I fell in love with the writing so I’ve been wanting to read more from her for a while and this is the perfect excuse!

Aside from that, I added some other books that I just needed to start/continue/finish. Last month I finally got around to finishing Kingdom of Ash. It was really bittersweet because I love the Throne of Glass series. I didn’t want it to end, but I desperately needed to know how things turned out for everyone. I totally loved it, even through the heartache and anxiety it gave me haha–but now it’s time for me to do the same for the ACOTAR series. And so, I added A Court of Wings and Ruin to my TBR (I wanted to throw in ACOFAS too, but I think that may be too much).

I also finally finished the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, so now I can comfortably start Strange the Dreamer. And last month I read Alice by Christina Henry so I thought it’d be pretty easy to finish the duology by reading Red Queen, especially since it’s such a short book. I also finished the Grisha Trilogy, so now I feel comfortable starting King of Scars (whoo!). Aaaaaaaand, my friend was starting The Black Key by Amy Ewing last time I hung out with her which reminded me that I needed to start it too, so I thought “why not?” and tossed it into the mix too so that I can finish off the series.

And last, but not least: ARCs! There are some amazing books coming out this month! We have A Pack of Blood and Lies by Olivia Wildenstein (her books are a guilty pleasure for me <3), The Raven’s Tale by Cat Winters (a great YA inspired by Edgar Allen Poe), and Mirror, Mirror (part of the Twisted Tales series–who doesn’t love a good retelling?!) All in all, I think it’s shaping up to be a great month!

I look forward to updating you guys and hope you all get some reading done this month!
