Hey everyone, welcome to another week and another TBR share. I don’t always have the time to read all the books I buy (and I but a lot), so TBR Monday gives me the chance to share a book I think is interesting. This week I’m sharing my thoughts on The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke.
Ananna of the Tanarau abandons ship when her parents try to marry her off to another pirate clan. But that only prompts the scorned clan to send an assassin after her. When Ananna faces him down one night, armed with magic she doesn’t really know how to use, she accidentally activates a curse binding them together.
I haven’t read many pirate books (not any that I can remember off the top of my head actually, wow!) so this one seems pretty cool just for that. But it also seems kinda funny in that she’s trying to get away from her betrothed and now she’s accidentally bound herself to his clan’s assassin. I think it could be comedic at first, what with them being enemies and all. Though to be honest, I’m fully expecting them to fall for one another by the end of the book. It just kinda seems obvious. Not that it couldn’t be cute or anything, but it’s just fairly expected with a synopsis like that.
As always, if you’ve read the book let me know what you thought about it. If you haven’t, does this make your TBR as well?
